The extended range sensor is designed with patented dual technology that combines PIR (Passive Infrared) and Microphonics detection, providing 360° coverage. It features push-button programmability, an adjustable time delay, a 100-hour lamp burn-in timer, and a green LED indicator. The device is UL and cUL listed, ensuring compliance with safety standards. The construction utilizes passive dual technology, where the sensor first detects motion via PIR and subsequently engages the Microphonics feature to recognize sounds that indicate ongoing occupancy. This technology includes automatic gain control (AGC), allowing it to adapt to its environment by filtering out constant background noise while identifying sounds associated with human activity. The sensor operates on a power range of 12 to 24 VAC/VDC and typically works with a PP20 or MP20 power pack, capable of controlling complete 20 amp circuits. For installation, it is recommended to position the sensor along the entrance door wall to optimize its field of view within the room while avoiding exposure to the hallway.
