The downflow unit heater is a 10,000 watt heater designed for heavy-duty applications, operating at 480V. It features a robust 16 gauge steel cabinet with an epoxy powder coat finish, ensuring durability. The heater is equipped with a corrosion-resistant heating element, complete with a steel sheath and steel spiral fins. For safety, the unit provides overheat protection through manual reset limit controls that de-energize the heater when necessary. Accessibility for wiring, maintenance, and installation is facilitated by a hinged and latched access door in the control compartment. Additionally, the heater includes OSHA safety wire guards to protect the fan blades. It utilizes an axial flow fan blade capable of reaching a maximum of 1570 RPM and incorporates a totally enclosed single phase, permanently lubricated motor that is thermally protected for long life. To enhance safety and efficiency, a fan purge system allows the fan to operate after the heating elements are de-energized, helping to eliminate residual heat. The unit also includes built-in 24 volt transformers for low voltage remote thermostat applications. Downflow heaters can be easily mounted using optional mounting brackets, which are not included. This product is UL approved and comes with a 1 year limited warranty.
