The downflow unit heater is a 15,000-watt heater designed for 208V operation, featuring a heavy-duty 16-gauge steel cabinet with an epoxy powder coat finish. It incorporates a corrosion-resistant heating element with a steel sheath and steel spiral fins, ensuring durability and efficient heat distribution. This model includes overheat protection with manual reset limit controls that deactivate the unit when necessary. The control compartment is equipped with a hinged and latched access door for convenient wiring, maintenance, and installation. Safety features include OSHA safety wire guards to protect the fan blades and an axial flow fan blade that operates at a maximum of 1570 RPM. The heater is powered by a totally enclosed single-phase, permanently lubricated motor that is thermally protected for longevity. Additionally, the fan purge system allows the fan to continue operating after the heating elements are de-energized, effectively purging residual heat. It also features built-in 24-volt transformers for low-voltage remote thermostat applications. The unit can be easily mounted using optional mounting brackets, which are not included. This heater is UL approved and comes with a 1-year limited warranty.
