The downflow unit heaters feature a 5,000 watt capacity at 480V, housed in a heavy-duty 16 gauge steel cabinet with an epoxy powder coat finish. These heaters are equipped with a corrosion-resistant element that includes a steel sheath and steel spiral fins. They provide overheat protection through manual reset limit controls that deactivate when necessary. The control compartment is designed for easy access with a hinged and latched door for wiring, maintenance, and installation. Safety features include OSHA safety wire guards to protect the fan blades, and the heaters utilize an axial flow fan blade that operates at a maximum of 1570 RPM. Additionally, the units are powered by totally enclosed single-phase, permanently lubricated motors that are thermally protected to ensure a long lifespan. A fan purge system is integrated to allow the fan to run after the heating elements are de-energized to eliminate residual heat. Built-in 24 volt transformers facilitate low voltage remote thermostat applications. The downflow heaters can be easily mounted with optional mounting brackets (not included) and are UL approved, backed by a 1 year limited warranty.
