The downflow unit heaters are heavy-duty, 50,000 watt heaters operating at 480V, featuring a 16 gauge steel cabinet with an epoxy powder coat finish. These ceiling heaters are equipped with a corrosion-resistant heating element that has a steel sheath and steel spiral fins. The design includes overheat protection with manual reset limit controls that de-energize the heater when necessary. The control compartment is accessible via a hinged and latched door for ease of wiring, maintenance, and installation. Additionally, OSHA safety wire guards are included to protect the fan blades. The heaters utilize an axial flow fan blade with a maximum speed of 1570 RPM and are powered by totally enclosed single-phase, permanently lubricated motors that are thermally protected for longevity. A fan purge system allows the fan to continue operating after the heating elements are de-energized, dissipating residual heat. Built-in 24-volt transformers facilitate low voltage remote thermostat applications, and the heaters can function as 2-stage units when used with a compatible 2-stage remote thermostat (not included). They offer a 2-speed operation feature and can be easily mounted using optional mounting brackets (not included). These units are UL approved and come with a 1-year limited warranty.
