Blue tempered shim is made from high carbon 1095 hardened and tempered spring steel. Precision Brand® is the only manufacturer to offer Branded® shim, which includes crucial information clearly marked on the shim, such as material type, material thickness, and lot number for full traceability. This shim is utilized for various types of coiled and flat springs, particularly those found in electrical assemblies and steel rules. It is preferred by tool and die makers for templates and shim applications that require toughness and high fatigue strength. The dimensions of the shim are 6 inches wide by 25 inches long by 0.010 inches thick.
