The Steel Shim, made from full hard, cold rolled, low carbon 1008-1010 steel, features Clear Branded® markings indicating the material type, thickness, and lot number for complete traceability. This shim is specifically designed for applications requiring hardness, flatness, and accuracy, capable of being punched or sheared with minimal burring and distortion. It measures 150mm wide x 2.5m long x 0.20mm thick and is widely used in tool and die setup, alignment, new machine assembly, machine repair and maintenance, and the mounting of motors and pumps. It is also suitable for short run and prototype work, making it particularly beneficial for pilot production runs where material accuracy and economy are crucial.
