Brass shim is made from a half hard, cold rolled, 260 alloy brass, and Precision Brand® is the only manufacturer to offer Branded® shim. Each shim is marked with essential information, including material type, material thickness, and lot # for full traceability. It is suitable for applications where corrosion issues exist and has low magnetic permeability. The shim features excellent forming qualities and can be lightly drawn, blanked, or stamped. It measures 12" wide by 120" long by 0.005" thick. Precision Brand® shim stock is commonly used in tool and die setup, alignment, new machine assembly, machine repair and maintenance, mounting of motors, pumps, and other machines, short run and prototype work, and various other industrial applications. It is particularly beneficial for pilot production runs where material accuracy and economy are essential.
