Blue tempered shim is made from a high carbon 1095 hardened and tempered spring steel. Precision Brand® is the only manufacturer to offer Branded® shim, providing essential information clearly marked on the shim, including material type, material thickness, and lot number for full traceability. This shim is designed for various types of coiled and flat springs, commonly used in electrical assemblies and steel rules. It is preferred by tool and die makers for template and shim applications where toughness and high fatigue strength are essential. The shim measures 3 inches wide by 50 inches long by 0.003 inches thick.
