Precision Brand® ground flat stock is made from general purpose tool steel, making it an ideal material for tools, dies, punches, templates, stripper plates, and general precision machine parts. The product is pre-ground on all surfaces to close tolerances and features an electric furnace melt tool steel with a fully spheroidized structure. This oil hardening tool steel maintains high abrasion and wear resistance, is ready for toolroom use, and exhibits excellent toughness and machinability characteristics.
