Stainless steel shim is made from a full hard, cold rolled, 300 series stainless steel. Precision Brand® is the only manufacturer to offer Branded® shim, which features material type, material thickness, and lot # clearly marked on the shim for full traceability. This shim is widely utilized in applications requiring corrosion resistance, including conventional power plants, nuclear plants, oil and gas refineries, and desalination projects. It measures 12" wide by 50" long by 0.003" thick and is commonly used in tool and die setup, alignment, new machine assembly, machine repair and maintenance, and the mounting of motors, pumps, and other machines, as well as short run and prototype work and various other industrial uses. This product is particularly beneficial for pilot production runs where material accuracy and economy are crucial.
