The Stainless Steel Shim is constructed from full hard, cold rolled, 300 series stainless steel and is exclusively offered by Precision Brand® as Branded® shim. Each shim features clear markings indicating material type, material thickness, and lot number for complete traceability. This shim is ideal for applications requiring corrosion resistance, including use in conventional power plants, nuclear plants, oil and gas refineries, and desalination projects. It measures 6" wide by 50" long with a thickness of 0.010". Precision Brand® shim stock is utilized in various applications such as tool and die setup, alignment, new machine assembly, machine repair and maintenance, and the mounting of motors, pumps, and other machines, along with short run and prototype work. It is particularly beneficial for pilot production runs where material accuracy and economy are crucial.
