Brass shim is made from a half hard, cold rolled, 260 alloy brass. Precision Brand® is the only manufacturer to offer branded® shim, clearly marking all essential information directly on the shim, including material type, material thickness, and lot # for full traceability. This shim is designed for use in applications where corrosion problems exist, featuring low magnetic permeability and excellent forming qualities, allowing it to be lightly drawn, blanked, or stamped. It measures 6" wide by 100" long by 0.005" thick and is widely utilized in various applications such as tool and die setup, alignment, new machine assembly, machine repair and maintenance, as well as the mounting of motors, pumps, and other machines. It is particularly advantageous for short run and prototype work, where material accuracy and economy are crucial.
