Brass shim is made from a half hard, cold rolled, 260 alloy brass and is offered exclusively by Precision Brand® as Branded® shim. Each shim is clearly marked with essential information, including material type, material thickness, and lot # for full traceability. It is ideal for applications where corrosion issues arise and features low magnetic permeability. The shim possesses excellent forming qualities and can be lightly drawn, blanked, or stamped. Its dimensions are 6" wide by 18" long by 0.031" thick. Precision Brand® shim stock is commonly utilized in tool and die setup, alignment, new machine assembly, machine repair and maintenance, mounting of motors, pumps, and other machines, as well as for short run and prototype work, along with various other industrial applications. It is particularly beneficial for pilot production runs requiring precise material accuracy and cost-effectiveness.
