The assortment of 150mm wide by 300mm long sheets includes ten thicknesses: 0.05mm, 0.10mm, 0.15mm, 0.20mm, 0.25mm, 0.30mm, 0.40mm, 0.50mm, 0.65mm, and 0.80mm. This brass shim is made from a half hard, cold rolled, 260 alloy brass and is the only Branded® shim available from Precision Brand®. Each shim is clearly marked with material type, thickness, and lot number for full traceability. Ideal for applications where corrosion problems are a concern, it features low magnetic permeability and excellent forming qualities, allowing it to be lightly drawn, blanked, or stamped. Precision Brand® shim stock is extensively utilized in tool and die setup, alignment, new machine assembly, machine repair and maintenance, as well as the mounting of motors and pumps, and is suitable for short run and prototype work, among other industrial uses. It is particularly valuable for pilot production runs where material accuracy and economy are crucial.
