The assortment of 6" wide by 50" long rolls includes one each of the following thicknesses: 0.001", 0.002", 0.003", and 0.005". The steel shim is made from a full hard, cold rolled, low carbon 1008-1010 steel. Precision Brand® is the only manufacturer to offer Branded® shim, which has all necessary information clearly marked on the shim, including material type, material thickness, and lot number for full traceability. This shim is utilized in applications requiring hardness, flatness, and accuracy, and the material can be punched or sheared with minimal burring and distortion. It is widely used in tool and die setup, alignment, new machine assembly, machine repair and maintenance, and mounting of motors, pumps, and other machines, as well as in short run and prototype work, alongside various industrial applications.
