The Laminated Aluminum Shim is constructed from 1100 series aluminum, featuring a composition of 1, type 1, class 1. This fully laminated product allows users to peel off layers to achieve the required thickness, enhancing on-site accuracy. The Precision Brand® laminated shim is produced through a process that utilizes pressure and resin/adhesive to bond metal shims together, resulting in a rigid, one-piece item that functions as a single solid metal sheet or plate. Layers can be removed easily with a pocket knife to reach the desired thickness, and the sheets are versatile, capable of being cut, sawed, stamped, milled, or bored into various configurations. The bonding adhesive ensures that layers peel off smoothly without tearing or ripping, and the sheets maintain uniformity from edge to edge.
