Brass shim is made from a half hard, cold rolled, 260 alloy brass, and Precision Brand® is the only manufacturer to offer Branded® shim. The shim is clearly marked with essential information including material type, material thickness, and lot # for full traceability. It is particularly suitable for applications where corrosion issues are present, featuring low magnetic permeability. This shim boasts excellent forming qualities, allowing it to be lightly drawn, blanked, or stamped. The dimensions of the shim are 6" wide, 60" long, and 0.010" thick. Precision Brand® shim stock is commonly utilized in various applications such as tool and die setup, alignment, new machine assembly, machine repair and maintenance, and the mounting of motors, pumps, and other machinery. It is also valuable for short run and prototype work, and it is especially effective for pilot production runs where material accuracy and economy are critical.
