Brass shim is made from a half hard, cold rolled, 260 alloy brass, and Precision Brand® is the only manufacturer to offer Branded® shim. Each shim is clearly marked with essential information, including material type, material thickness, and lot number for full traceability. This shim is specifically designed for applications where corrosion problems exist, featuring low magnetic permeability and excellent forming qualities that allow it to be lightly drawn, blanked, or stamped. It measures 6 inches wide by 100 inches long by 0.031 inches thick. Precision Brand® shim stock is widely utilized in various applications such as tool and die setup, alignment, new machine assembly, machine repair and maintenance, mounting of motors, pumps, and other machines, as well as short run and prototype work. It is particularly advantageous for pilot production runs where material accuracy and economy are paramount.
