The Stainless Steel Shim is made from a full hard, cold rolled, 300 series stainless steel, ensuring high durability and corrosion resistance. Precision Brand® uniquely offers Branded® shim, which comes with crucial information clearly marked on the shim, including material type, material thickness, and lot number for complete traceability. This shim measures 6" wide by 50" long by 0.005" thick and is extensively utilized in various applications such as tool and die setup, alignment, new machine assembly, machine repair and maintenance, and the mounting of motors, pumps, and other machines. It is particularly beneficial for short run and prototype work, especially in pilot production runs where material accuracy and cost-effectiveness are essential.
