The Stainless Steel Shim, made from full hard, cold rolled, 300 series stainless steel, is offered exclusively by Precision Brand® under the Branded® shim line. Each shim is clearly marked with essential details including material type, material thickness, and lot number for full traceability. This shim is widely used in applications requiring corrosion resistance and finds utility in conventional power plants, nuclear plants, oil and gas refineries, and desalination projects. The dimensions of the shim are 6 inches wide, 50 inches long, and 0.003 inches thick. It is particularly beneficial for applications such as tool and die setup, alignment, new machine assembly, machine repair and maintenance, mounting of motors, pumps, and other machinery, as well as short run and prototype work.
