The 6" by 12" assortment contains 1 each of the following thicknesses: 0.001", 0.0015", 0.002", 0.003", 0.004", 0.005", 0.006", 0.007", 0.008", 0.010", 0.012", 0.015", 0.020", 0.025", and 0.031". This brass shim is made from a half hard, cold rolled, 260 alloy brass. Precision Brand® is the only manufacturer to offer branded shim, which features clear markings for material type, thickness, and lot number, ensuring full traceability. The shim is used in applications where corrosion problems exist and boasts low magnetic permeability. It has excellent forming qualities, allowing it to be lightly drawn, blanked, or stamped.
