The 6" by 18" assortment contains 1 each of the following thicknesses: 0.001", 0.0015", 0.002", 0.003", 0.004", 0.005", 0.006", 0.007", 0.008", 0.010", 0.012", 0.015", 0.020", 0.025", and 0.031". The steel shim is made from a full hard, cold rolled, low carbon 1008-1010 steel. Precision Brand® is the only manufacturer to offer Branded® shim products, which are clearly marked with material type, material thickness, and lot number for full traceability. This shim is used in applications requiring hardness, flatness, and accuracy, and can be punched or sheared with minimal burring and distortion. It is widely utilized in tool and die setups, alignment, new machine assembly, machine repair and maintenance, as well as the mounting of motors, pumps, and other machines, in addition to short run and prototype work.
