The Laminated Aluminum Shim is crafted from 1100 series aluminum, with a composition of 1, type 1, class 1, and features a fully laminated design. This product allows users to peel off layers to achieve the desired thickness, enabling enhanced on-site accuracy. Made using pressure and resin/adhesive, the Precision Brand® laminated shim bonds metal layers together, forming a rigid "one piece" item that appears to act as a single solid metal sheet or plate. Users can remove layers easily with a pocket knife, and the sheets may be cut, sawed, stamped, milled, or bored to accommodate almost any configuration. The bonding adhesive ensures smooth peeling without tearing or ripping, while the sheets maintain uniformity from edge to edge.
