The 6" by 12" assortment contains 1 each of the following thicknesses: 0.001", 0.0015", 0.002", 0.003", 0.004", 0.005", 0.006", 0.007", 0.008", 0.010", 0.012", 0.015", 0.020", 0.025", and 0.031". The steel shim is made from a full hard, cold rolled, low carbon 1008-1010 steel. Precision Brand® is the only manufacturer to offer Branded® shim, with essential information clearly marked on each shim, such as material type, thickness, and lot number for full traceability. This product is utilized in applications where hardness, flatness, and accuracy are critical. The material can be punched or sheared with minimal burring and distortion. Precision Brand® shim stock finds extensive applications in tool and die setup, alignment, new machine assembly, machine repair and maintenance, as well as in the mounting of motors, pumps, and other machinery.
