Brass shim is made from a half hard, cold rolled, 260 alloy brass and is the only product branded as Branded® shim by Precision Brand®. This shim features clear markings that include material type, material thickness, and lot number for full traceability. It is specifically designed for applications where corrosion is a concern and offers low magnetic permeability. The shim has excellent forming qualities, allowing it to be lightly drawn, blanked, or stamped. Its dimensions are 6" wide, 100" long, and 0.018" thick. Precision Brand® shim stock is commonly utilized in various applications such as tool and die setup, alignment, new machine assembly, machine repair and maintenance, as well as the mounting of motors, pumps, and other equipment. It is particularly advantageous for pilot production runs where material accuracy and cost-effectiveness are essential.
