The Laminated Brass Shim is manufactured from cold rolled, half hard CDA 260 alloy, featuring a composition of 2, type 1, class 1. This fully laminated product allows users to peel off layers to achieve the desired thickness, enabling greater on-site accuracy. The Precision Brand® laminated shim utilizes pressure and a resin/adhesive to bond metal shims together, resulting in a rigid "one piece" item that functions similarly to a solid metal sheet or plate. Users can easily remove layers by peeling with a pocket knife to the preferred thickness, and the sheets can be cut, sawed, stamped, milled, or bored into nearly any configuration. The bonding adhesive ensures clean peeling without tearing or ripping of the layers, and the sheets are uniform from edge to edge.
