Made from full hard, cold rolled, low carbon 1008-1010 steel, this Steel Shim is the only one offered by Precision Brand® under the Branded® shim line. Each shim is clearly marked with essential information including material type, thickness, and lot number for full traceability. This shim is ideal for applications requiring hardness, flatness, and accuracy, and can be punched or sheared with minimal burring and distortion. It is extensively used in tool and die setup, alignment, new machine assembly, machine repair and maintenance, as well as in the mounting of motors, pumps, and other machines.
