The Stainless Steel Shim is constructed from full hard, cold rolled, 300 series stainless steel and is the only product offered by Precision Brand® that features Branded® shim, ensuring that all necessary information is clearly marked for the user, including material type, thickness, and lot number for full traceability. This shim is ideal for applications requiring corrosion resistance, commonly found in conventional power plants, nuclear plants, oil and gas refineries, and desalination projects. It measures 6" wide by 60" long and has a thickness of 0.003". Precision Brand® shim stock is extensively used in tool and die setup, alignment, new machine assembly, machine repair and maintenance, and the mounting of motors, pumps, and other machinery, as well as in short-run and prototype work, alongside various industrial applications. It is particularly beneficial for pilot production runs where both material accuracy and cost-effectiveness are critical.
