The Stainless Steel Shim is constructed from full hard, cold rolled, 300 series stainless steel, featuring Branded® shim from Precision Brand®, the only manufacturer to offer this product. Each shim includes clear markings indicating material type, material thickness, and lot number for full traceability. With dimensions of 12" wide by 50" long by 0.004" thick, this shim is widely utilized in applications demanding corrosion resistance, such as in conventional power plants, nuclear plants, oil and gas refineries, and desalination projects. It serves various industrial purposes, including tool and die setup, alignment, new machine assembly, machine repair and maintenance, and mounting of motors and pumps. Additionally, it is effective for short run and prototype work, particularly in pilot production runs where material accuracy and cost efficiency are critical.
