The Steel Shim is constructed from full hard, cold rolled, low carbon 1008-1010 steel, and is offered exclusively by Precision Brand® as Branded® shim. This product features clear markings for material type, thickness, and lot number, ensuring full traceability. It is ideal for applications requiring hardness, flatness, and precision, and can be punched or sheared with minimal burring and distortion. The shim measures 12" wide by 120" long by 0.012" thick and is widely utilized in tool and die setup, alignment, new machine assembly, machine repair and maintenance, motor and pump mounting, short run and prototype work, as well as a variety of other industrial applications. It is particularly beneficial for pilot production runs where material accuracy and economy are critical.
