Brass shim is made from a half hard, cold rolled, 260 alloy brass, and Precision Brand® is the only manufacturer to offer branded® shim. The shim is clearly marked with essential information including material type, material thickness, and lot number for full traceability. It is designed for applications where corrosion issues may arise and possesses low magnetic permeability. The brass shim features excellent forming qualities and can be lightly drawn, blanked, or stamped. It measures 6" wide by 180" long by 0.005" thick. Precision Brand® shim stock is extensively utilized in various applications such as tool and die setup, alignment, new machine assembly, machine repair and maintenance, and the mounting of motors, pumps, and other machines. Additionally, it is suited for short run and prototype work, as well as a variety of other industrial uses, making it particularly valuable for pilot production runs where material accuracy and economy are critical.
