Brass shim is made from a half hard, cold rolled, 260 alloy brass, and Precision Brand® is the only manufacturer to offer Branded® shim. This shim clearly marks essential information for the user, including material type, material thickness, and lot number for full traceability. It is designed for applications where corrosion issues are a concern, featuring low magnetic permeability and excellent forming qualities, allowing it to be lightly drawn, blanked, or stamped. The shim measures 6" wide by 100" long by 0.020" thick and is widely utilized in various applications, such as tool and die setup, alignment, new machine assembly, machine repair and maintenance, mounting of motors, pumps, and other machines, short run and prototype work, along with a variety of other industrial uses. This product is especially beneficial for pilot production runs where material accuracy and economy are critical.
