The Steel Shim is constructed from full hard, cold rolled, low carbon 1008-1010 steel, and is exclusively offered under the Precision Brand® name, known for its Branded® shim. Each shim includes clear markings indicating the material type, thickness, and lot number for complete traceability. This product is ideal for applications requiring hardness, flatness, and precision, as it can be punched or sheared with minimal burring and distortion. The shim measures 150mm wide, 2.5m long, and 0.50mm thick. Precision Brand® shim stock is commonly used in various applications including tool and die setup, alignment, new machine assembly, machine repair and maintenance, and the mounting of motors, pumps, and other machinery.
