Laminated brass shim is made of cold rolled, half hard CDA 260 alloy, with a composition of 2, type 1, class 1. This fully laminated product allows for easy adjustment of thickness by peeling off layers, facilitating greater on-site accuracy. The Precision Brand® laminated shim is constructed using pressure and a resin/adhesive that bonds the metal layers together, resulting in a rigid "one piece" item that operates as a single solid metal sheet or plate. The layers can be removed by peeling them away with a pocket knife to achieve the desired thickness. Additionally, the sheets are versatile and can be cut, sawed, stamped, milled, or bored into almost any configuration. The bonding adhesive ensures optimal peeling without tearing or ripping, and the sheets maintain uniformity from edge to edge.
