The Laminated Stainless Steel Shim is constructed from annealed 300 series stainless steel, specifically composed of Type 1, Class 1 materials. This fully laminated product allows users to peel off layers to achieve the desired thickness, enhancing on-site accuracy. Manufactured by Precision Brand®, the laminated shim employs a process that uses pressure and resin/adhesive to bond metal shims together, resulting in a rigid, "one piece" item that functions like a solid metal sheet or plate. Users can easily remove layers by peeling away with a pocket knife, and the sheets can be cut, sawed, stamped, milled, or bored into nearly any configuration. The bonding adhesive ensures smooth peeling without tearing or ripping, and the sheets maintain uniformity from edge to edge.
