The Laminated Steel Shim is constructed from cold rolled 1008-1010 carbon steel, with a composition of 4, type 1, class 1. This fully laminated product allows for on-site accuracy as layers can be peeled off to achieve the desired thickness. The Precision Brand® laminated shim is manufactured using pressure and resin/adhesive, which bonds the metal shims together to create a rigid, "one piece" item that functions as a solid metal sheet or plate. Layers can be easily removed by peeling with a pocket knife, ensuring a clean separation without tearing or ripping, thanks to the effective bonding adhesive. These sheets are designed for versatile applications and can be cut, sawed, stamped, milled, or bored into almost any configuration, while maintaining uniformity from edge to edge.
