The traditional style punch and die set is an economical solution for producing washers, shims, and gaskets, featuring nine punch sizes: 1/8", 3/16", 1/4", 5/16", 3/8", 7/16", 1/2", 5/8", and 3/4". The clear plastic top plate is marked with accurate center lines for easy alignment. This set effectively cuts through steel, brass, copper, aluminum, rubber, and plastic materials up to 0.025" thick, as well as stainless steel and blue tempered shim up to 0.010" thick. The punch and die set is conveniently packaged in a durable plastic case, while the base and punches are constructed from hardened and ground A-2 tool steel. To use, simply mark the center lines, align them with the center lines on the top plate, and strike with a hammer.
