The Yellow Sof' Shoe® elastomer shim kit is made of a proprietary elastomer designed to address irregular gaps and angular soft foot alignment issues in motors, pumps, generators, turbines, and various other plant machinery. The kit includes Size B shims, measuring 3" x 3" with a slot size of 7/8". Each shim has a thickness of 0.045", compresses to 0.040", and can absorb up to 0.020" of angularity, featuring a tab for easier and safer placement, eliminating the risk of placing hands under machinery during installation or removal. The precision design of Precision Brand® Sof' Shoe® elastomer shims allows for quick resolution of angular soft foot problems, extending the life of bearings and motors. The shims exhibit a 12 percent flat compression under standard bolt torque while also accommodating angularity of nearly half their thickness. Additionally, Sof' Shoe® products are available in cut-to-length sheets with a width of 38.5".
