The Precision Brand® Plastic Slotted Shim Kit is made from high-quality, color-coded plastic material that exhibits minimal compression during use. This kit features size A shims measuring 2" x 2" with a slot size of 5/8". Each shim comes with a tab designed to facilitate easier and safer shim placement, eliminating the need to place hands under machinery during installation or removal. The thickness of each shim is easily identifiable by its distinct color. This plastic slotted shim is ideal for mounting and leveling smaller, fractional horsepower motors, various gauges and instruments, as well as light-duty plant machinery. It serves as a more economical alternative when the properties of stainless steel slotted shims are not necessary. However, it is important to note that the plastic slotted shim is not recommended for use with larger, heavier motors.
