The Precision Brand® Plastic Slotted Shim is made from high-quality, color-coded plastic material that experiences minimal compression during use. This Size A shim measures 2" x 2" with a slot size of 5/8". It features a tab that facilitates easier and safer shim placement, eliminating the need for hand placement under machinery during installation or removal. Each thickness of the shim is easily identifiable by its distinct color. This plastic slotted shim is ideal for mounting and leveling smaller, fractional horsepower motors, various gauges and instruments, and light-duty plant machinery, offering a more economical alternative when the properties of stainless steel slotted shims are unnecessary. However, it is important to note that the plastic slotted shim is not recommended for use with larger, heavier motors.
