Made from a high-quality, color-coded plastic material that has minimal compression during use, the Size AA plastic slotted shim measures 1" x 1" with a slot size of 5/16". The tab design facilitates easier and safer shim placement, eliminating the need for hands to be placed under the machinery during installation or removal. Each thickness is easily identifiable by its own color, making it user-friendly. This Precision Brand® plastic slotted shim is suitable for mounting and leveling smaller, fractional horsepower motors, various gauges and instruments, and light-duty plant machinery. It serves as a more economical option when the properties of stainless steel slotted shims are not required. However, it is important to note that plastic slotted shims are not recommended for larger, heavier motors.
