The Precision Brand® plastic slotted shim is composed of high-quality, color-coded plastic material that exhibits minimal compression during use. It measures 1" x 1" with a slot size of 5/16". The integrated tab enhances shim placement, making it easier and safer to install or remove shims without the need to place hands under machinery. Each thickness is distinguishable by its unique color, facilitating easy identification. This shim is specifically designed for mounting and leveling smaller, fractional horsepower motors, various gauges and instruments, and light-duty plant machinery. It serves as a more economical alternative to stainless steel slotted shims; however, it is not recommended for use with larger, heavier motors.
