Laminated brass arbor shims are constructed from cold rolled, half hard CDA 260 alloy, with a composition of 2, Type 1, Class 1. They are fully laminated and can be customized to the required thickness by peeling off layers, which allows for precise adjustments. The inner diameter (I.D.) and outer diameter (O.D.) tolerances are maintained at +/- 0.008 inches. Precision Brand® laminated arbor shims are manufactured through a process that involves pressure and resin/adhesive, resulting in a rigid, "one piece" item. The bonding adhesive ensures that layers can be easily peeled away using a pocket knife without any tearing or ripping, facilitating accurate thickness modifications.
