Brass shim is made from a half hard, cold rolled, 260 alloy brass, and Precision Brand® is the only manufacturer to offer Branded® shim. The shim includes essential information clearly marked on its surface: material type, material thickness, and lot number for full traceability. It is designed for applications where corrosion issues arise and features low magnetic permeability. With excellent forming qualities, it can be lightly drawn, blanked, or stamped. The dimensions measure 6" wide by 100" long by 0.010" thick. Precision Brand® shim stock is extensively utilized in tool and die setup, alignment, new machine assembly, machine repair and maintenance, and the mounting of motors, pumps, and other machines. It is particularly advantageous for short-run and prototype work, as well as a variety of other industrial applications, especially pilot production runs where material accuracy and economy are critical.
