The Stainless Steel Shim is made from full hard, cold rolled, 300 series stainless steel, and represents the only Branded® shim offered by Precision Brand®. Each shim is clearly marked with essential information including material type, material thickness, and lot number for complete traceability. This shim is ideal for use in environments requiring corrosion resistance, making it suitable for various applications such as conventional power plants, nuclear plants, oil and gas refineries, and desalination projects. The dimensions of the shim are 6 inches wide, 25 inches long, and 0.020 inches thick. It is commonly utilized in tool and die setup, alignment, new machine assembly, machine repair and maintenance, and the mounting of motors, pumps, and other machinery, as well as in short run and prototype work.
