Laminated brass arbor shims are manufactured from cold rolled, half hard CDA 260 alloy, featuring a composition of 2, type 1, class 1. These shims are fully laminated and allow users to peel off layers to achieve the needed thickness. They adhere to I.D./O.D. tolerances of +/- 0.008 inches. Precision Brand® laminated arbor shims are constructed by using pressure and resin/adhesive to bond metal shim layers together, resulting in a rigid "one piece" item. The bonding adhesive ensures optimal peeling without tearing or ripping of the layers, allowing for precise adjustments.
