Laminated brass arbor shims are constructed from cold rolled, half hard CDA 260 alloy, with a composition of 2, type 1, class 1. These fully laminated shims allow users to peel off layers to achieve the required thickness, with I.D./O.D. tolerances of +/- 0.008 inches. Precision Brand® laminated arbor shims are manufactured through a process that uses pressure and resin/adhesive to bond the metal shims, resulting in a rigid "one piece" item. The specially formulated bonding adhesive ensures that layers can be removed smoothly with a pocket knife without any tearing or ripping, facilitating precise adjustments as needed.
