The Steel Shim is constructed from full hard, cold rolled, low carbon 1008-1010 steel. Precision Brand® is the exclusive manufacturer of Branded® shim, featuring essential information directly marked on the shim including material type, thickness, and lot number for complete traceability. This shim is designed for applications requiring hardness, flatness, and precision, with capabilities for punching or shearing that minimize burring and distortion. It has dimensions of 150mm wide x 2.5m long x 0.10mm thick. Precision Brand® shim stock finds extensive use in tool and die setup, alignment, new machine assembly, machine repair and maintenance, and the mounting of motors, pumps, and other machinery, as well as in short run and prototype work and various industrial applications. This product is particularly beneficial for pilot production runs where material accuracy and cost-effectiveness are critical.
