The 12" by 24" assortment includes one each of the following thicknesses: 0.001", 0.002", 0.003", 0.004", 0.005", 0.006", 0.007", 0.008", 0.010", 0.012", 0.015", 0.020", 0.025", and 0.031". The steel shim is made from full hard, cold rolled, low carbon 1008-1010 steel. Precision Brand® is the only manufacturer to offer Branded® shim, clearly marking essential information directly on the shim, including material type, material thickness, and lot number for full traceability. This shim is used in applications where hardness, flatness, and accuracy are crucial. The material can be punched or sheared with minimal burrs and distortion. Precision Brand® shim stock is extensively utilized in tool and die setup, alignment, new machine assembly, machine repair and maintenance, mounting of motors, pumps, and other machines, as well as short run and prototype work, along with various other industrial applications.
